Iglesia Cristiana Villa Esperanza is the local church that calls the outreach center home. For more than 10 years, our very own in country missionary and Pastor, Joel Cera, has faithfully held weekly services for the people of the community.Known for his humility, resilience, and unwavering faith, Pastor Joel has become a pillar of hope for families living on the margins.Pastor Joel is known not just for his preaching, but for his hands-on approach. He fixes leaky roofs, counsels broken families, and often gives the coat off his back—literally—to someone in need.
Pastor Joel often says, “We are the church, not the building. If the lights go out, we will still shine.” His vision is not about polished sermons or perfect pews—it’s about love in action. It’s about being present when others flee. It’s about helping a widow fix her roof, finding a lost child a safe bed, or praying with a father who lost his job.
