Missionaries
Christlike Ministries support missionaries in the area on a monthly basis. Please take some time and get to know them and remember to pray for them as they serve the Lord in Juarez, Mexico.
Joel and Amber Cera
Joel and Amber Cera, along with their children: Ian, Eli, and Lia have served as full-time missionaries in Juarez for 14 years. Joel and Amber met while Amber was on a mission trip to Joel’s hometown (Cuauhtemoc, Mexico) in the summer of 2006.
At the time, Joel was studying at New Tribes Bible Institute in Chihuahua, and Amber was in college studying education. Soon after graduation, they got married (2009) and started their ministry together. God brought them to Christlike Ministries in 2012. It’s Joel’s and Amber’s desire to reach the lost in their neighborhood. Aside from the huge physical needs in their neighborhood (no running water, poverty, etc.), there is also a great spiritual need.
Joel and Amber are working hard to show love and be a light in any way possible to the people of their community, all the while teaching them to grow and mature in their walks with Christ. Their weekly ministry includes Sunday and midweek church services, youth group, bible studies, prison ministry, soup kitchen and so much more. More recently, Joel and Amber started ministering at an after school program for orphaned and vulnerable children in the area.
Ruben and Bety García
Rubén and Betty faithfully serve the Lord through their church, Iglesia Bautista La Gracia, located just a few miles from Christlike Ministries Outreach Center. Alongside their two daughters, Kelly and Cielo, and their families, they minister to their community through their local church and by hosting a soup kitchen several times a week, providing meals and sharing Christ’s love with their neighbors.
Leonardo and Rita Cingari
Leonardo and Rita are another missionary couple supported by Christlike Ministries. Leonardo, originally from Italy, and his wife Rita, originally from England, have a heart to serve the people of Mexico. Through Leonardo’s tent ministry, he has faithfully preached the Gospel to thousands over the years, reaching many with the message of Christ. Together, they continue serving faithfully alongside their family, including their son Danny and daughter Becky.
